..........................
It seems everyone is ready for Christmas earlier than ever before. On my Facebook, and Instagram feeds I'm seeing so many friends putting up trees, hanging stockings, creating vignettes, and just totally getting a running start on the holidays.
I get where the traditionalists are coming from when they say "too soon." But life is short and the holiday season usually passes in a blink, so why not stretch it out. Start making hot cocoa all the time, hit some holiday craft shows, and definitely make some crafts of your own.
We don't plan on putting our tree up yet, but we do have a few favorite Christmas pieces on display. We often start with our kitchen table which normally has cakes stands full of faux cakes and pastries all year round. And just recently we had some vintage jack o' lanterns, and a faux cherry pie.
Above you can see our latest seasonal table vignette. That adorable little live tree was a gift from Jackson & Perkins. I remember looking at the Jackson & Perkins catalog when I was little. In fact, I can remember using it when I played "office." They were one of "my office's" many "commercial suppliers." ha!
Ok so this isn't just a show & tell, it's also a GIVEAWAY!
You have a chance to win a $75.00 Jackson & Perkins gift card! Which will totally get you a fully decorated little tree like you see above.
Find the giveaway details at the end of this post.

Being that we go with a neutral and pastel palette for Christmas we received the Merry Christmas decorated tree. It's a Dwarf Alberta Spruce and it came with these pretty, festive beaded gold ball ornaments.
And gold glittered pinecones! Which work perfectly with our decor!
And a sweet gold star topper!
My favorite part might be the tiny strand of lights on copper wire. I have a similar strand around a mirror in our living room. They run on batteries that you just tuck inside the pot. They also offer these lights separately.
And they offer those gold pinecone candles in a set of three.
I really like the gold Merry Christmas repeat on the cache pot. Just a clean, cheerful, and classic design.
This is how this particular tree arrives. We simply opted to not use the burgundy glass balls, and added our own pale pink balls and pastel ball garland to make it our own. It took about 8 minutes to set the whole thing up! and it really really is so cheerful!
Seeing it glowing in the next room while we work on orders, and build up a stock of ornaments for the holiday rush definitely adds some cheer to our long days and nights.
There are so many cute styles to choose from! If you're not doing a big tree, a little one like this is a great alternative. These are also perfect to send to a family member or friend that could use a burst of holiday cheer.
And it's a live tree. So you can plant it after the holidays! It comes with care instructions and there's a guide on the Jackson & Perkins site that'll tell you which geographical regions the specific trees will thrive best in.
Ok...so here's how to enter the GIVEAWAY:
Just leave a comment on this post...possibly about the Christmas decoration you're most looking forward to displaying this year. Maybe it's an old classic that you've had forever, maybe it's something you plan on making, or maybe it's something you've got your heart set on buying this year.
That's it! We'll pick a winner on Sunday the 29th!
Good Luck!!
xoxo, Jenny & Aaron
I can't wait to pick out a tree and wrap presents! That's when it starts to feel like Christmas. ❤️
ReplyDeleteI won't be able to put up many Christmas decorations this year. My cat is far too curious for that. However, I have big plans for my Christmas wrap!
ReplyDeleteI found a Santa candle at a local antique mall this summer, and it's the same exact design that I remember my mother bringing out every Christmas when I was a little girl. Ours was lost or damaged when we moved from Texas to Alaska, but I missed it every time we'd look at photos of Christmases past. Needless to say, when I saw it in the display case, I didn't care how much it cost, I had to have it! I'm trying to find the perfect spot for Santa, right after Thanksgiving! :)
ReplyDeleteAll of my Christmas decorations are packed away in storage this year so I am really excited about gift wrap this year. Target has an amazing paper that is white with gold stars. I hoarded 6 rolls so far!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to break out my giant Santa from south porch antiques and my "today I will be jolly" from berries in the meadow. I got them both at the country living holiday bazaar. I hope to add some jenny ornaments this year. I'm setting my alarm early on Black Friday!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for my sweets themed tree this year! :) now to find cupcake scented wrapping paper... ha!
ReplyDeleteiwhoohoooo! Great giveaway! Thanks for the opportunity! I'm definitely keeping it simple this year!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute lil tree. I most look forward to adding the ornaments to our tree that I had when I was young. Some, I had made, but my very favorite is a pink beaded dove. Some of the beads have come off but it is a treasure to me.
ReplyDeleteI've been waiting for years to buy a white Christmas tree. Now that we finally bought a house, I am excited to pick one out and start building my Christmas collection!
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to put my vintage Santa mugs and reindeer out!
ReplyDeleteI'm putting up our two pink trees Wednesday & covering them in candy canes
ReplyDeleteNothing like the twinkle of lights in your children's eyes! Hoping we'll have a tree this year. XoXo
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to going to pick out our Christmas tree at a local Christmas tree farm - the smell of that fresh tree in the house is something I grew up with and is such a big part of the Christmas experience for me. :)
ReplyDeleteEvery year I set up my Santa Claus collection on my fireplace mantle. They are they are of all materials, large to teeny tiny. They all have sweet faces. I'm enjoying them earlier this year, they went up last week!
ReplyDeleteMy pink tree! This year I found the most perfect 6 ft pink tree that you could imagine!
ReplyDeleteI'm always so excited to decorate, that I already have :) but my most favorite decoration are my grandparents little box of ornaments that I've been decorating their tree with for the past 20+ years! They're from all over the world and its so fun to decorate for them every year.
ReplyDeleteI've already put up all our decorations since it takes so long to decorate, I like to enjoy them for a long time. Hey, I also listen to Christmas music starting 11/1! I love my Jim Shore Santa collection on the mantle! Merry Christmas! AddisonHollow.outlook.com
ReplyDeleteI have a vintage Santa piggy bank that I love displaying every year on the fireplace mantle...it was one of my very first Christmas decorations I purchased.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a child, my mom gifted me with a snow globe each Christmas. Over the years, I've continued on the tradition and collected many snow globes along the way. This year, I'm hoping that I can hunt down a snow globe that is girly, feminine, and delicate. (I've got visions of ballerinas and unicorns dancing around in my head!)
ReplyDeleteWe do the untraditional we put up a huge Eiffel Tower with lights and a mini one next to it. The presents go under that
ReplyDeleteSo happy to read your posts again! I think I'm looking forward to unpacking all our ornaments and hanging them on the tree. It would be great to decorate a tiny one with tiny ornaments too! Coincidentally I'm also having a giveaway. It's a giving time of year! Have a happy thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteOh I have so many favorites. I'm always so happy when I unwrap my vintage Santa mugs, though. They're perfect for hot chocolate and fun tea parties with my niece. Xo
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite things to bring out at Christmss is the advent wall hanging that I get to fill with little presents for my girls. The anticipation of this holiday makes us so giddy!!
ReplyDeleteAnd that live miniature tree is so sweet! I love your Holiday touches. ;)
I love decorating for christmas. Didn't do it last year as we were selling the house we lived in for 20 years. We got moved to oregon in july and am soooooooo excited to decorate. After living in the desert for my whole life, 60 years, I am finally living my dream. This tree would be perfect, because I could plant it afterwards, and enjoy it for years. Thank you two!!
ReplyDeleteI bought a full set of vintage Santas from a friend and it was so freaking cute when I put them up together! In love with it! Thanks for a chance to win and have a great Thanksgiving too!
ReplyDeleteI'm like you, so into Christmas this year. So I am fixing up my mantle in snow and glitter and little vintage Christmas PINK themed beauty! I'm also making a diorama in an old wire bird cage that has been spray painted silver. And I think Mark is surprising me with a pink Christmas tree!! eeeekkkkk!! Merry Christmas sweet friends.
ReplyDeleteOmgggg what an adorable tree!!!! Love the colors!!!!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite Christmas decorations are these singing penguins I got from Hallmark years ago. One of them has a jingle bell sewn on his back flipper, so when he shakes it, he jingles, and it's seriously about the cutest thing I've ever seen.
I'm excited to put up my tree and set out my nativity set
ReplyDeleteThis year my family opted to trade present exchanging for a week long family trip to the mountains! So with far less wrapping taking place (usually my favorite part) I will be savoring decorating the tree and making the house festive!!
ReplyDeleteI love everything Christmas! From my huge Santa collection to my growing crĆØche and angel collections! It is impossible to pick a favorite item! My favorite Christmas thing is the beautiful and heartfelt kindness, joy and love that surround the season!!!
ReplyDeleteI love putting up the ornaments that my girls have made, as well as their baby's first Christmas ornaments :)
ReplyDeleteI love Christmas and put up the big tree every year. But I can't wait to set up the smaller trees I made for different rooms!! Plus I have a vintage Santa I love to put out also. Thanks for the chance to win :) ~Sophia Vida
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday decorations to put up are our Hallmark ornaments. They all have a significance and bring back so many memories from over the years.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas decorations are the large yard blow molds that my mom and I put up each year. We've had a lot of fun finding them at yard sales and thrift stores, and we get out in the chilly weather and put them around the yard for the neighbors to enjoy. We've only ever lost one, a gingerbread. Some think he got stolen, but I think he took his chance, cut his plug and ran away! I guess we'll never catch him.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to put ornaments on my tree! Got the ornaments as gifts from all family and friends who went to my Christmas in July wedding shower many years ago (and my mom put tags on each one with the name of who the ornament was from) . It's a good way to think about about each important person on this wonderful holiday season, especially those who have passed and are no longer with us! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeletePutting out my Putz houses!
ReplyDeleteThis is our 2nd Christmas in Florida. Our 1st was such a disappointment .. my traditional Christmas Italian wedding soup and homemade bread just seemed too hot. The tree we decorated was an artificial palm tree from the lanai. Just not Christmasy at all! While going through an unpacked box a few weeks ago (yes, from 2 years ago!) I found several feathers that I had found during my mother's illness. I believe it was a sign from her. All is well. I purchased a clear glass ornament and put them inside.. they are lovely... now I just need a Christmas tree to hang it on. Thank you for your blog..really missed you both while you were not posting..Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas! :)
ReplyDeleteI have always decorated "early" ... and again did so this past weekend, when Brookie and I decorated the house (Brian is in the Philippines for work right now and won't be home till mid-Dec.-- so her and I did it solo this year!) ,,, my favorite part is every year we get a new family ornament with our names/year and it always ends up front and center on the tree! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! My favorite decorations are the ones we collect on our travels. Each holds a special memory that we revisit as we hang it on the tree.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving & Merry Christmas
Always loved the J&P catalog, and that little tree is adorable! No snow here in No. Florida for Christmas but I did have to turn the heat on last night. That puts me in the mood to start decorating!
ReplyDeleteI love my snowy tree I put up in the dining room. The entire room theme and tree are wintery animals and it turns out beautiful. I have a few new additions for this year I can't wait to add.
ReplyDeleteWe always wait until the 1st of December to decorate since our daughter's birthday is Nov. 30 and we don't want Christmas to compete with her day. The first thing to come out is our Advent wall hanging. We have had it for 22 years and it is usually filled with Lindt chocolates.
ReplyDeleteI don't really get into Thanksgiving, so I have started putting up Christmas already. I love doing the tree the most, and crafting some new decorations too. I love your little tree! Hope you have a great holiday season! xoxox :)
ReplyDeleteHooray!! Laurie!! You are our winner!! All we need is an email address to pass on to the folks at Jackson & Perkins!! Thanks so so much for entering!! And for the kind words!! Happy Holidays!! xoxo J&A
DeleteGreat giveaway! Looking most forward to hanging my daughter's very first counted cross stitch ornament made entirely by her. It's a snow couple. It took two weeks to complete and she spent countless hours enthralled with it. Her stitches are perfect ! (I taught her well :) Now she's onto another cross stitch project. I think she's caught the bug - hooray!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little tree! I love how you personalized it. I'm planning on putting up my tree and decorations on Black Friday. I love opening the boxes and bins and taking a leisurely walk down Memory Lane, whilst drinking some homemade eggnog! Every ornament tells a story! Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, what a delight it would be to have that darling mini tree! Does it smell good? Your decorating aesthetics are reminding me of a really cute pastel ornament set I spied at Target - think I need to go back and grab it!

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to break out the stockings I made a few years ago. This year I want to make something for them to hang from (currently they just hang from some nails left over from taking some paintings down.)
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway and love your twist on the tree. My favorite thing to pull out this year is my collection of blowmold Santas that fill my front porch. I have a neighbor girl, Elle (almost 2) who is going to go nuts over them. I can't wait to see her reaction! Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to get them all out...all of them mean something to me...my Grandma's, my Mom's who both are no longer with us...the ones my son made in school...lol...almost 40 yrs ago... :)
ReplyDeleteLove your tree revamp! My favorite items, the indented ornaments that my parents bought when they got married in 1957. I have added a few more, but theirs, the Rudolph and wreath ornaments, are my very favorite. Have a fabulous holiday!

ReplyDeleteThis is such a precious gift idea! I love it. Thank you for such a thoughtful giveaway. I just found out I can't go home for Christmas so I would love to win this. But if I don't, I am glad someone out there will have a better year with this tree.
ReplyDeleteI am currently loving all of the seasonal ornaments Starbucks has been putting out with their mugs and tumblers.
This is a wonderful giveaway. I have a quilted wall hanging of a sweet angel that my Mommy Girl made me. Now that she is an angel, it is precious and brings back memories of family Christmasses.
ReplyDeletewhat a stinking cute tree! They need to make one decorated in pastels just like that! Grace xoox
ReplyDeleteAs soon as Thanksgiving dinner is over, I spring into action... all of the gorgeous mercury glass and tarnished glitter appears! My collection of small trees... I can't wait! The most wonderful time of the year!!! Love your tree... and all the fixings!
ReplyDeleteI would love to send a tree to my uncles who can't come home for the holidays. They live in a little SF apartment so this would be perfect for them. I look forward to decorating the tree. My mom got me and my brother an ornament every year and I now do the same for my kids. It is fun to look through them all.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting this fantastic giveaway. I love getting out all the handmade ornaments that I've made through the years - all the way back to kindergarten!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to read your Blog again. The ornament I looked forward to putting on our tree this year is the slice of pizza. It seems to honor Michael and all the years he sold Italian food...we met in my pizzeria. Our son and daughter are now putting "Papa's slice" on their trees also. xoxo

I love mini trees! This year I am repainting an ugly Christmas village that I picked up at a big box store. I can't wait to finish it and display it on the mantle.
ReplyDeleteWow ~ I like your finished tree so much more than the way it was originally. Theirs was nice but yours is lovely! They should bring you on for next year.
ReplyDeleteWe have crab pot trees here along the coast that are made out of crab pot wire, shaped into a tree, and strung with lights. They're my very favorite part of coastal living besides, well the coast, and I look forward to it every year!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is my collection of Putz Houses I started when I first bought my house. It was about 15 years ago before they became a popular collectors item. I found two and used to sit them in the windowsill in front of my stained glass window. My little collection grew and grew finding one here and there. Now it takes up the whole mantle and is almost too big for that! This tree is right in the style of everything I love! Thanks guys! happy Holidays!

Your tablescape is beautiful! I love the putz glitter house and bottle brush tree. Your style of decorating the live tree rocks.
ReplyDeleteI received a large number of putz houses and vintage shiny brites from my Mom and Grandma who recently passed. Wish I had a way to share. I live in Ohio, but my in-laws live in NJ. They retired in Manchester. We spent a lot of time in Seaside in July and August. Can't wait to get back.

ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!
Looking forward to making new decorations with my daughter this year :) I'm foresee lots of crazy sparkly garlands in our near future :D
ReplyDeleteMy most favorite ornaments are the vintage ones. I pick them up at thrifts and markets all year long. When I gather them all together to decorate our tree, I imagine the many Christmas celebrations they have seen. I imagine the hands that hung them on the tree and lovingly put them away every year so that they would survive decades later. It is astonishing to me that such beautiful, fragile objects still exist for my family to cherish. Thank you for the lovely opportunity.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely Christmas trees and decors! At my house I make sure to celebrate holidays as much as possible. We should spend our life full of love and gift giving. For Christmas I am planning to have some 3d printed toys as part of my 3d Printed Christmas gifts.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful little tree that is! My favorite this year are some unloved 2ft. reindeer I rescued at Goodwill. I glued them in weak spots, and painted white. I painted the antlers gold and sprinkled the antlers with gold glitter. The body I sprinkled with white glitter. They are so beautiful!! I put them on a sofa table with white white lights. I got some branches from the yard, painted white and sprinkled with glitter. Im beyond pleased with this display!! ♡
ReplyDeleteEeep!! I hope it's not too late! This is the cutest tree ever and I'd love to win one! This will be our first year getting a live try as a family and I'm really looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for a holiday giveaway!
ReplyDeletePictures are quite stunning too. I have never had a Christmas tree that beautiful :(
